WOCAD is the Swedish women's organisations collaborating body for issues concerning alcohol, narcotics and addictive drugs.

How to move forward? Is the Nordic model changing? The Finnish situation – Thomas Karlsson

Thomas Karlsson is a senior researcher and vice head of unit at the Alcohol, Drugs and Addictions Unit at the Department of Public Health Solutions at the National Institute for Health and Welfare (THL). He is also head of the WHO Collaborating Centre on alcohol policy implementation and evaluation based in THL.

European Parliament elections - why it is important and how to engage? - Aleksandra Kaczmarek

Senior Policy Manager, Eurocare. Aleksandra Kaczmarek has a Masters Degree in European Union Law from King’s College London (University of London, UK) and a Bachelors Degree in Politics and Sociology from the University of Liverpool (UK). Her main areas of responsibility covers labelling, road safety, alcohol as a risk factor in non-communicable diseases, food policy as well as relations with the European Parliament.

 

Fit for Purpose? Is alcohol industry self-regulation in the UK working? - Andrew Misell

Andrew is Alcohol Concern’s Director for Wales, and has led the development of the charity’s work in Wales since 2009. He previously worked for Diabetes UK, leading their policy and public affairs work in Wales, and has also been a Senior Researcher with the Liberal Democrat group in the National Assembly for Wales.
